The brief
An authentic Pride campaign timed to Stonewall's 50th anniversary.
Create an authentic, joyful campaign for Pride Month that could scale nationally while celebrating Elysian Brewing's Seattle roots and limited-edition Glitteris brew — all timed to the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising.
The insight
Pride campaigns often feel performative. This one wouldn't.
We wanted to do something real, emotional, and rooted in the LGBTQ+ community's values: love, self-expression, and chosen family. Not rainbow branding — actual joy.
The idea
#MarryUsJVN — inviting LGBTQ+ couples to be married by Jonathan Van Ness.
We partnered with Queer Eye's Jonathan Van Ness to invite LGBTQ+ couples to share their love stories on Instagram for the chance to be married by JVN himself at Elysian's Capitol Hill brewery.
The idea culminated in a live, joy-filled wedding ceremony for Megan and Haden — covered by local and national press and broadcast live on NBC Seattle.
