JVN x Elysian Brewing
A National Pride Campaign with Local Heart (and Glitter Beer)
The Challenge
Create an authentic, joyful campaign for Pride Month that could scale nationally while celebrating Elysian Brewing’s Seattle roots and limited-edition Glitteris brew—all timed to the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising.
The Insight
Pride campaigns often focus on performative gestures or generic rainbow branding. We wanted to do something real, emotional, and rooted in the LGBTQ+ community’s values: love, self-expression, and chosen family.
The Idea
We partnered with Queer Eye’s Jonathan Van Ness—an outspoken LGBTQ+ advocate and cultural icon—to launch #MarryUsJVN, a campaign inviting LGBTQ+ couples to share their love stories on Instagram for the chance to be married by JVN himself at Elysian’s Capitol Hill brewery. The idea culminated in a live, joy-filled wedding ceremony for Megan and Haden, covered by local and national press.
